Nicholas Tishuk

Nicholas Tishuk has been a New York City educator for the past twenty years. Originally hailing from central Florida, Nicholas has worked in public schools in various roles in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn as a classroom teacher, high school coordinator, school Director, charter school lead Applicant and school founder, Principal, and Executive Director.

Throughout his career, Nicholas has been deeply invested in opportunities for children and youth who are traditionally not successfully in public schools including students with disabilities, English language learners, students coming in to high school below grade level and students in poverty. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School in his adopted borough of Brooklyn, NY.
