Atyani Howard

Atyani Howard is the Chief Program Officer and Interim Co-CEO at New Teacher Center. After starting her journey in Chicago Public Schools, Atyani helped to transform Camino Nuevo Charter Academy into an award-winning network of P-12 schools in Los Angeles. Within the education nonprofit sector — formally a Vice President of Academics at TNTP, and now, Co-Chief Executive Officer at New Teacher Center — Atyani is applying her theory of change: by developing high quality instructional cultures, we can disrupt inequity and transform systems, schools, and classrooms across the country. Her goal is to support schools to become a fulcrum in a community where children, families, and educators are restored, inspired, and feel hope for the future.
