From Search to Ask to Learn
Over the last decade, the way students approach learning has significantly changed. They rely heavily on technology and networked communities as they balance their well-being with school, work, and family responsibilities. Students are also savvy to how technology is changing the careers available to them and the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Online services and tools that enable self-directed learning and step-by-step, guided instruction support the modern student, but also challenge traditional academic support models. This presentation reviews how students use third-party services to learn, mechanisms in place to encourage academic integrity, and how educators and providers can collaborate to support student learning outcomes.
