Summer Reading: Bridging Language Immersion Gaps

Summer learning setbacks can put students at a disadvantage. Foreign language learners are especially at risk when they're out of an immersion environment for 3 months. To help their Chinese language immersion students, Utah’s Board of Education partnered with LingoAce to create a free Chinese e-book app and host a summer reading contest. 1,000+ students from 30+ elementary schools participated. With this case study, explore how schools can fill learning gaps by working with the private sector.
