Amplifying Self-Advocate Voices with Storytelling
Recording: Amplifying Self-Advocate Voices with Storytelling, Date TBA
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are at exponentially higher risk of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse than others. This is an epidemic of darkness and silence. From the experience of a passionate self-advocate survivor through the lens of a research-based project, this session will explore sexual assault prevention and healing through video-based storytelling. Participants will learn how to give voice to self-advocates using simple, accessible technology.
