Jon Chin is an educator, poet, 2nd degree black belt, software engineer, and social entrepreneur. His greatest concern is how to leverage breakthrough technology to address the human condition in new and illuminating ways. He is the founder and CEO of Share Meals, a national food security technology non profit. He served as interim CTO of the New York City Food Policy Center at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to rapidly develop software to reach 80,000+ New Yorkers per month with food resources.
Jon specializes in adult education, often with high risk populations. He taught in the women's prison on Rikers Island. Through it all, his classrooms are often attended by laughter, sometimes so much that they are asked to pipe down.
