Ken Bigger
Recently appointed Senior Fellow in the Center for the Future of Libraries at the ALA, a position partly sponsored by the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. I'm advancing the ALA and BBF's mutual interest in the intersection between adult literacy and socio-economic mobility and the possibility of mapping assets and needs digitally. Prior to joining the ALA, I served as Executive Director of the Chicago Literacy Alliance (CLA), guiding the launches of the CLA's Equity Through Literacy Framework and Literacy Equity Initiative (LEI, now a program of the University of Illinois at Chicago's Center for Literacy).
