Jean serves as the CEO of New Leaders, a national nonprofit organization that develops school and system leaders in 20 urban cities and 15 states. Over his 10-year tenure, Jean has led the organization to scale its impact by more than 400% and shifted its business model to allow for accelerated growth, revenue potential, and diverse partnership opportunities. Jean recently launched a partnership with HBCUs Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University, to create a fully online certification and master’s program in education leadership.

Jean has advised a number of NYC school chancellors and administrations. He also serves on the boards of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH), KinderCare, and St. Francis College; is co-chair of the Black Voices for Black Justice Fund; is a cofounder of Innovation for Equity and CAREB; and was named to Forbes’ “Impact 30,” which recognizes the world’s leading social entrepreneurs from across the country.
