Kim Baker

Kim is a former elementary teacher whose passion in equity and inclusion in education has led her to her current role as an equity leader at NWEA. Kim is working on her doctorate in educational leadership and policy with an emphasis on diversity and equity through the University of Illinois. Her research focuses on inclusive leadership and how leaders create a sense of belonging in teams and workspaces. Through her leadership at NWEA for the past 12 years, Kim founded the Content Equity Team to support the Content department in removing barriers for students within NWEA products. Kim also provides leadership as co-facilitator of the LGBTQ+ Colleague Resource Group, an employee resource group for LGBTQ+ members, and provides trainings and workshops on equity-related topics.
