Daniel M. Harrison earned a BA from New College of the University of South Florida and MS and PhD degrees from Florida State University. He teaches sociology at Lander University. Harrison is the author of -Making Sense of Marshall Ledbetter: The Dark Side of Political Protest- (2014, University Press of Florida) and -Live at Jackson Station: Music, Community, and Tragedy in a Southern Blues Bar-. (2021, University Press of South Carolina). He lives in Greenwood, SC, with his wife, artist and realtor Rebecca Salter Harrison, their two daughters, four dogs, and two cats. His interests include tennis, guitar, hiking, documentary films, and travel.
