Mary Elizabeth A. Davis has served as Superintendent of Henry County Schools since November 2017. Henry County is the 9th largest district in Georgia, serving more than 42,000 students across 50 schools. Under Mary Elizabeth’s leadership, Henry County Schools has seen an 11-point growth in state accountability measures and eliminated all “F” ratings for any school. She is also closely focused on community connectivity and building unity around excellence in public education. Mary Elizabeth completed a Masters in Public Administration, a Specialist in Educational Leadership, and a PhD in Educational Policy with a concentration in Social Foundations at Georgia State University. She was appointed as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in Gwinnett County, GA, then becoming the Chief Academic Officer for the Cobb County School District in Marietta, GA. Mary Elizabeth has also served as a Presidential Appointee and an Education Policy Advisor in the United States Senate.
