Maria Brown-Spence, Founder & CEO of Hearts2Heal, allowed her lived experiences with grief & loss, to guide her to her purpose. In 2012, Maria lost her Granny (Anna Marie Brown) to cancer and her world was turned upside down. In 2018, she lost her significant other to cancer and again, her world was turned upside down. But this time she knew that her journey was meant to be shared. As she navigated the mental health field for support, she truly understood that quality services were not readily available to her. In 2019, Maria knew it was time to step up and find, Hearts2Heal, along the way. She also serves as the Manager of Member Company Programs for the Entrepreneurs Foundation at Capital Factory. In this role, she manages a portfolio of over 35 member companies, creating strategies designed to support the philanthropic efforts of Austin tech and startup communities. Maria earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising/Public Relations from Texas Wesleyan University.
