Carissa Dougherty
Carissa Dougherty leads the knowledge management program at The Morton Arboretum, a 1,700-acre living tree laboratory, education center, event venue, and museum just west of Chicago. Before entering the public garden realm, Carissa managed digital projects at the Art Institute of Chicago for over ten years. Her projects included two mobile apps, a collections website, a digital wayfinding system, and an in-gallery interactive exhibit. Carissa recently launched a consultancy, Transformative Questions, which focuses on helping public sector leaders develop digital literacy and knowledge management strategies at their organizations. In her spare time, Carissa is a cyclist, tinkerer, and incurable coffee snob.
