Cayla Salvador
Cayla graduated from San Francisco State University in 2013 and began working in local public and private elementary schools. She received her teaching credential in 2017 and a Masters of Education from Mills College in 2020. Cayla has taught in San Francisco, the East Bay as well as Santa Cruz. In the classroom, Cayla primarily focused on teaching her students how to respect and cherish our planet and taught them about the incredible ecosystems that surround us. Cayla has stepped away from the classroom and is currently a curriculum designer with a primary focus on developing climate literacy in the classroom. She works with a small team to create comprehensive climate resources for elementary and middle school teachers as well as students. We aim to create lessons that foster understanding as well as inspire students to take a stand against our changing climate.
