Donovan Blount is a social justice advocate and aspiring computer engineer from Rockaway, New York. He is a rising freshman at University at Buffalo and has exemplified leadership and advocacy through his educational journey. His passion for data can be seen through his excellent performance in a college-in-high school Introduction to Engineering class where he earned the top score, his fellowship with IAC centered on coding and being a National Youth Leadership Forum for Engineering Scholar. Donovan once believed that his AP test scores meant he wasn’t college ready. Since then he has pushed himself to excel in his academics, earning the title of high school valedictorian. He has led his peers to academic excellence as well. This can be seen through various leadership positions including a student advisory board member selected out of thousands of students and being a youth advisor for Imagine NYC schools. He is a passionate, talented young leader interested in making a difference.
