Dr. Rasheda Likely is an Assistant Professor of Science Education at Kennesaw State University. She earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Biology from the University of North Florida. She has worked as a medical scientist for the Florida Department of Health in virology. While earning her doctorate at Drexel University, she was pivotal in the development and implementation of seven different science curricula across the Greater Philadelphia Area directly impacting over h u hi and middle school students and teachers. Her research passions include developing and implementing decolonized science curricula and culturally sustaining assessments such as "Lotions and Potions: Exploring Black Girls' Engagement in and Perceptions of Science Practices through Hair Care". Dr. Rasheda Likely takes great delight in imagining and creating learning experiences that support the brilliance of minoritized students.
