Tracy Ostrom
Tracy Ostrom began a career in Environmental Management after spending two years as a peace corps volunteer in Zaire (DRC). She transitioned to teaching high school science as a second career in 1998. As a teacher, she focused on bringing STEM skills-driven activities to her students. Tracy retired from the classroom in 2014, and the following year joined UC Berkeley as a teacher outreach coordinator and helped establish the WestEd/UC Berkeley GLOBE partnership. Tracy is a mentor trainer for the partnership and continues to provide support in implementing STEM learning via the GLOBE program in K-12 education in the Bay Area and Sacramento Regions. Tracy is an active member of the GLOBE community (www.globe.gov) by training and supporting formal and informal educators across the country and serving on the US leadership team for the past 4 years. Tracy will begin her PhD program (in learning with data) in the fall at UC Davis Graduate School of Education.
