Jilliam Joe

Jilliam Joe, Ph.D., Vice President of Learning Insights at LEAP Innovations, where she leads research and evaluation, and develops instructional strategies for educational practices, led and demonstrated by, and connected to students and their communities. Her research interests are in the improvement of teaching practice, and the psychometric quality of measures of teaching effectiveness, motivated by her passion for ensuring every child has an effective teacher in their classroom. She is the author of several scholarly papers and co-authored Better Feedback for Better Teaching: A Practical Guide for Improving Classroom Observations. Dr. Joe is a graduate of Old Dominion University (Masters of Urban Studies, Public Administration) and James Madison University (Doctor of Philosophy in Assessment and Measurement).
