Rosemarie Abocot

Dr. Abocot, as a Filipina academic, brings an exciting perspective as someone who is using her training in U.S. pedagogical best practices to build capacity at her Eastern Visayas State University in the Philippines. Her enhanced knowledge and skills in flexible learning have also broadened her reach to students worldwide, in addition to using these techniques in her new role as an online-learning trainer for her colleagues at Eastern Visayas State University. Additionally, she was one of five faculty across the Philippines handpicked by TIEC to provide policy guidance for flexible learning that will be applied nationwide. Her recent research centers on gender dynamics and critiques of traditional male/female power structure.
