Chris Dwyer
Chris brings decades of experience as a classroom teacher, researcher, product developer and education service provider. Through lines in her multi-faceted career have been early learning, literacy, school improvement, and arts research. Whether applying her child development knowledge to children’s television programming, creating a classroom observation tool, or supporting state education agencies in policy development, Chris is always focused on the path from research to practice. Recently, she has led capacity building for the National Comprehensive Center, heading up the literacy work group and serving as an integral team member for the Summer Learning and Enrichment Collaborative. Other current work includes developing the five-year research agenda for the National Endowment for the Arts, preparing a statewide needs assessment and strategic plan to address the needs of vulnerable children and families, and supporting design of a career technical education pathway.
