After beginning her teaching career in rural Louisiana, Meg Scott returned to her hometown of Charlotte, NC to pursue school leadership. Experiences with Teach For America, New Leaders for New Schools, KIPP, and others helped shape her path. After serving as a principal in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Ms. Scott joined the Charlotte Lab School community as a founding member in 2015. When the Primary School campus opened in 2019, she became its first Head of School.
Outside of school, Ms. Scott enjoys trying new recipes, watching sports, finding new adventures, home improvement projects, and playing with her dog, Jackson. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
