Kayla Meyers
Kayla Meyers is a writer, cultural historian, and educator living in Richmond, Virginia with past lives in Austin, Texas and Madrid, Spain. She’s taught writing, media/digital literacy, and research for over six years with the Well-Trained Mind Academy, and her media literacy curriculum was published into a book Who Said What? with The Well-Trained Mind Press. Her writing covers wide ranging topics in pop culture, American and international politics, teaching pedagogy, and writing practice. A former academic, she has presented her research at numerous academic conferences and published under academic presses. Outside of academia, she worked closely programming the 2017 Southeastern American Studies Conference, as well as the 2019, 2020, and 2022 SXSW EDU Conferences & Festivals. With the Learning Agency, she drives events and initiatives on topics ranging from virtual learning to media literacy. She earned her M.A. and B.A. in American Studies at the College of William & Mary.
