LaNolia Omowanile is the KIPP Foundation as the Director of Talent and School Leader Development. In this new role, LaNolia supports our Principal in Residence priority and will cultivate a community of regional Directors of Leadership Development.

LaNolia began her career teaching middle and high school Biology; her commitment to excellence and care for her students earned her the Ida S. Baker Distinguished Minority Educator of the Year award. While working towards her master's degree in Education Leadership Studies at Columbia University Teachers College, she coauthored the charter application for Brooklyn Prospect International Baccalaureate Charter School. She served as the founding principal of the flagship school for six years before becoming the Chief Academic Officer. With her growing family in mind, LaNolia moved to Texas and joined IDEA Public Schools first as a Director of Leader Development and eventually becoming the Vice Present of Schools for IDEA Austin.
