Claire Harper
Claire Harper is a third-year sociology and neuroscience student with a passion for social justice advocacy. As a journalist and researcher, she has sought to create a platform to voice issues in marginalized communities and influence policy. She is currently working as a research assistant for the Voces of a Pandemic project, one of the largest oral history projects about Latinxs in the United States. Before this role, she supported Mexican Consulate study, which aimed to create a mental health promotion model for Latinx young adults in the Mexican Consulate of Austin. Outside of research, she works as a content editor for the music magazine Afterglow ATX, for which she produces content that emphasizes diverse and international perspectives in the music industry.
