Ana Herrera is an educator from Bogotá, Colombia. She has a B.A. in Modern Languages from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is a Master's student at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, in the Innovation in Education program. She has been a teacher for more than ten years and has worked with children and adults. She is currently a Spanish immersion teacher and a Participate Learning cultural ambassador at Bethany Elementary school in Rockingham County, NC. She is passionate about creating a brave environment for students to build knowledge and explore the environment starting from their interests and inquiries. She is convinced that empowering all children through education is essential to change the world.
