I lead and manage IBM's New Collar Initiatives team. New Collar is about skills, not degrees. I work to help organizations and teams (inside and outside of IBM) move beyond the old standard Basic Qualifications and requirements based on credentials or a four year degree. By doing so, we hope to provide people better access to opportunities based on their skills and ability to learn. To deliver outcomes towards this goal, I am designing, managing, and scaling IBM's industry leading Apprenticeship program focused on providing earn and learn opportunities across 20+ Job Roles; growing and globalizing our Tech Re-Entry program focused on providing a pathway for people to re-enter the workforce after time away; and delivering a P-Tech Internship program that helps set students up effectively as they launch their careers. IBM is creating more pathways in partnership with policymakers, educators, and nonprofits as well as in collaboration with companies in our industry.
