Tonija Hope
Tonija Hope brings over 20 years of experience in the international exchange, international education, and management fields to the Ralph Bunche International Affairs Center at Howard University where she oversees day-to-day operations. Ms. Hope is actively working to bring comprehensive, coordinated internationalization to Howard University, to ensure that all students graduate with skills that make them globally competent in the 21st century. Her international career was inspired by her work at the University of Cape Town, South Africa to develop mechanisms to encourage exchange among international and South African students. Ms. Hope returned to the U.S. to earn her master’s degree in Tourism Administration with a focus on International Education from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
