Toni Frallicciardi
Toni Frallicciardi is a dedicated mom of three who has explored diverse educational options, from public and charter schools to private institutions and homeschooling. With a background in Ocean Engineering and a lifelong connection to the world of surfing and skateboarding, she has embarked on an incredible journey.
In 2003, she initiated an international faith-based social skateboarding network that has since touched the lives of individuals in over 90 countries. Motivated by her love for action sports, an answer to help her own son overcome learning challenges and a local school shooting, she founded the Surf Skate Science STEAM education program in South Florida in 2018, starting with just five students. Today, this program has grown exponentially, reaching over 2500 students each year.
Her ultimate goal is to enable every child to discover their inner genius by transforming learning into a fun and engaging experience. Recognizing the power of action sports as a vehicle for education, she advocates for its integration into academic settings. By harnessing the physical and mental benefits of these sports, students can develop critical 21st-century skills.
Driven by a mission to bridge the STEM inequity gap, she actively exposes all-ability, underserved and female students to STEAM careers. Through her work, she aspires to break down barriers and ensure equal opportunities for all. Embracing the lessons taught by skateboarding, she believes in the limitless potential that lies within every individual.
Her tireless efforts are focused on helping every student find their passion and potential.
