Jamie Merisotis
Jamie Merisotis, an internationally recognized leader in higher education, human work, philanthropy, and public policy, has been Lumina Foundation’s president and CEO since 2008.
A media contributor, his writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and other publications. He is co-founder and former president of D.C.-based Institute for Higher Education Policy; and executive director of a bipartisan national commission, appointed by the president and congressional leaders, to study college affordability. His books are America Needs Talent, and Human Work In the Age of Smart Machines. His board service includes The Ditchley Foundation UK, Lingoda gmbH Germany and Citizen Energy Group, among others. Merisotis is a graduate of Bates College.
