She is an author and educator based in New York City. You can pick up a copy of her new board book, Our Skin: A First Conversation About Race--co-authored by Jessica Ralli and illustrated by Isabel Roxas--at a local Black-owned bookstore near you. She began her career as an early childhood educator in the midwest, where she grew up. Now, as a doctoral candidate, she works part-time as a trainer facilitating Zoom workshops on race, gender, and sexuality for teachers. Megan recently completed a term on the governing board of the National Association for the Education of Young Children after several years serving as a co-facilitator of the association’s Diversity & Equity Interest Forum. She holds a master’s degree in early childhood education from Dominican University. Megan lives in Harlem (unceded land of the Lenape people), walking distance from her best friend, ex-husband, and fellow educator, Ruben Brosbe. Together with their chosen family, they love reading, eating ice cream
