Carolyn Foote is a teacher librarian in Austin Texas who is fascinated by the intersection between students, technology and library access. Named a White House Champion of Change in 2013, and winner of the AASL Library Collaboration Award in 2019, she advocates for libraries as change makers in schools. She has served as a Lilead Project member, four time nominee for TCEA Librarian of the Year, on the advisory board for the Center for the Future of Libraries, advisory board for School Library Connection, and is a frequent presenter and writer. Her work centers around student voice, library and classroom design, and trends facing libraries and schools. Her work can be found on her blog, Not So Distant Future(futura.edublogs.org).
