Barbara Bray
I am an author, speaker, mentor, coach, and podcast host. I have been on a mission for over 30 years to transform teaching so learning is authentic, personal, and meaningful. I am the co-author of "Make Learning Personal" and "How to Personalize Learning."
I am the host of the Rethinking Learning podcast with over 150 episodes with inspirational educators and innovators about their journey to discovering their purpose. These podcasts and stories became the heart of my book, "Define Your Why: Own Your Story So You Can Live and Learn on Purpose." My most recent book is “Grow Your Why: One Story at a Time” with 23 personal stories that will touch your heart and inspire you to live on purpose. I am also co-host of the podcast “Real Talk with Barbara and Nicole” focusing on authenticity in a polarized society.
I am invited to do presentations, keynotes, interviews, and workshops on growing your WHY through stories, rethinking teaching and learning, empowering learner agency, the value of your story, and why now is the time to disrupt the status quo.
Stories matter. Your story matters. I call myself a Story Weaver and believe this is my calling to support others on their journey to discover their purpose. If you find yourself questioning what your purpose is, if you have a book you would like to write, or a podcast you would like to start, I am a coach ready to support you on your journey. I've also been asked to facilitate the alignment of individual members' purpose and core values with the mission and vision of the school or organization.
