Individually-Optimized Learning in Japan

Date TBA

The evolution of digital technology has changed the scope of the field of Education. Japan’s current approach aims to use digital technology for "individually-optimized learning."

In an environment where each student has their own device, it will be possible to identify and assess each student's personality and characteristics based on their learning history, so that they can learn independently at their own pace, working toward personalized goals, rather than having to try to conform to a non-differentiated curriculum.

We will talk about Japan's goal of individualized optimization of learning through this method, the potential for private businesses that are implementing it, as well as their sense of the challenges they face.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
