What to Say When You Hear Something Racist
This session will lead participants through three steps to determine what they can say when they hear something racist from a colleague, student, or anyone in their school community, and will guide them through practicing those steps. Often when educators hear a racist statement, they freeze and feel stumped to find words to respond. This session will provide an easy to remember framework that educators can draw on in those difficult moments when they need and want to say something.
