Developing Racially Conscious School Leaders

NYCDoE's Leaders in Education Apprenticeship Program (LEAP) grows aspiring school leaders by engaging them in job-embedded experiences that develop their racial consciousness, and require them to examine school culture, instructional practices using racial equity as the lens. Our graduates are prepared to lead schools committed to promoting culturally relevant curricula and pedagogy, and to reducing disproportionate outcomes for children of color.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
