Finding Your Voice in Decentering Whiteness

White supremacy, and the dominance of white norms, grow when unnamed and unchallenged. In this session we will explore the language that reflect the values and ideology associated with white culture while providing strategies to center and explore the experiences and perspectives of people of color. We will look at the history and language of white supremacy, along with modern day manifestations that impact our classrooms today. Leave with strategies to decenter whiteness in your classroom.
