Brent Legg serves as Executive Vice President of Government Affairs for nonprofit Connected Nation, where he leads the development and execution of CN’s public policy and government affairs strategies in more than 20 states and in Washington, DC, with a focus on closing the “digital divide” in rural America. Mr. Legg joined Connected Nation in 2007 after having served as field director and legislative assistant to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to his work in Congress, Legg served as a policy advisor to Kentucky’s governor and secretary of education, and worked as a campaign consultant to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Mr. Legg is a magna cum laude graduate of Transylvania University with a degree in political science and was a 2002 Hansard Scholar at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He resides in Lexington, Kentucky, with his wife Brianna and three children.
