Culturally Relevant Making... During a Pandemic

Mar 10, 2021

10:30am – 11:30am CT

***To ensure an engaging and productive learning experience, attendance will be capped at 100 people. The Zoom link will be available on this page 5 minutes before the session start time. Please note, clicking the “Register” button does NOT guarantee access, as attendees will be let in from the waiting room on a first come, first served basis.*** Due to COVID-19, our partner schools and after school programs have been shut down. To address this challenge we have created a suite culturally relevant and personalized do-it-yourself projects to tap into students’ personal interests and cultures as part of our efforts to personalize learning. Our culturally relevant approach to making and STEAM supports student identity formation and affirmation, as well as student-teacher relationships, and a focus on and commitment to academic equity.
