Lisa Zimble
Lisa Zimble is passionate about public education and is a filmmaker. She is currently the impact producer of Participant Media’s America to Me: Real Talk campaign -- using the docuseries to create awareness, conversation and change around issues of racial equity in schools. Lisa produced the documentaries TEACH and The Road to TEACH, directed Participant Media’s TEACH and Students Stand With Malala campaigns and is the Co-Founder of the non-profit Grow a Teacher. Lisa spent 20 years in the independent film world before becoming obsessed with finding ways to inspire the next generation of talented, innovative students to teach, especially students of color -- which speaks to her larger mission of using storytelling to create equitable schools and classrooms that help all students thrive.
