Matthew J. Kirk
Matthew J. Kirk is Associate Director of Clemson University Tiger Alliance, a college access program for high school men of color that helps students build pathways to college and establish a college-going culture in their families, schools, and communities. Prior Kirk served as an Academic Coach and Advising Specialist in the Clemson Academic Success Center.
Kirk began his career with Higher Achievement, a Washington DC nonprofit program for middle school students that aims to bridge the opportunity gap for low-income students who seek to attend college-prep high schools. He holds a bachelor’s from Wake Forest University and a master’s of Education (in Counseling Education) from Clemson University.
In addition to his work with Tiger Alliance, Matthew is a committed member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He strongly stands on the tenets of servant leadership, believing the best leaders are servants first.
