Jose Rodriguez

Jose Rodriguez is a first-generation student from Greenville, SC, and 2018 graduate of Carolina High School. While at CHS, Jose was captain of the varsity soccer team, president of National Honors Society, and served in student government as vice president of the senior class. He was involved with The Student DREAMers Alliance, which provides guidance to DACA students/families during the college admissions process;raises awareness of inequities in the educational system;and advocates for fair access to post-secondary education. Through Prisma Health, which helps students get hand-on experience learning about the system and assisting patients, Jose helped open a clinic at his high school. Both activities enabled him to give back to the community. Today Jose is a sophomore at Clemson University majoring in Language and International Health, on the pre-med track. He is a Tiger Alliance ambassador and will soon start engagement/research events at Monaview Elementary School.
