Want to know more about International Education? Japan? Transnational Entrepreneurship? Living & working overseas?
With 18 years experience in Japan, I am driven by a thirst for understanding how organizations work and how people think. I am a huge people person and enjoy working with multicultural and diverse teams.
I am educator, researcher and consultant and train in the areas of leadership, organization, entrepreneurship, team-building, and mindset development. I also provide translation (Japanese to English) and localization services to Japanese companies seeking to expand globally and research and support services for companies entering Japan.
I recently published “Transnational Entrepreneurship: Japanese Self-Initiated Expatriate Entrepreneurs in South East Asia” with Springer and I am passionate about the connections between international education and entrepreneurship.
I’m also the Tokyo Hub Host for GlobalWelsh, an organization seeking to harness the power of the diaspora to support investment in Wales and future entrepreneurs.
I also have extensive management experience in the field of international education; developing and facilitating a number of overseas internships and study abroad programs including the USA, Australia, Canada, Nepal, India, Cambodia, Vietnam, the U.K. Malaysia, China, and Spain. And I’ve lived in Austin, Texas, as a Visiting Scholar at UT Austin!
I am looking forward to mentoring anyone interested in international education, Japan, study abroad, international international entrepreneurship, and more! Come say hello!
