Michael Mittelstaedt

My name is Michael Mittelstaedt, I am a filmmaker and educator. For 15 years I've had the pleasure of serving as the Director of the Film and New Media Division at Interlochen Center for the Arts, a high school for ambitious young artists, instructing all aspects of visual storytelling. I am deeply invested in topics of community and identity as they relate to creative and personal development. My alumni work for Netflix, Amazon, Skywalker Sound, Dreamworks, and Ken Burns’ Florentine Films.
