District and campus librarian at Westlake High School in Eanes ISD in Austin, Texas, she focuses on 21st century library design, mobile devices, research, teaching, emerging technologies like ebooks, and trends facing libraries.
She was awarded the AASL Library Collaboration Award in 2019, a White House Champion of Change for Connected Learning in 2013, an advisory board member for School Library Connection, a former member of the Center for the Future of Libraries Advisory board and is a past president of the TCEA LibSig.
She blogs at Not So Distant Future, and is a frequent contributor to library and technology publications. She is a contributor to two books: No Shelf Required II and New Landscapes of Mobile Learning.
