Michelle Concepcion

Born one of 7 children in rural Virginia, Michelle is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and Johns Hopkins University. She has been a public educator for 29 years, serving as an elementary and middle school teacher and administrator as well as her current role as Director of Special Education for a large and diverse school district in suburban Maryland. Michelle is the recipient of the Excellence in Minority Achievement Award from Maryland's Minority Students Council serves as a role model for young minority women in her community and beyond.
