Lindsay Portnoy
Lindsay is a Program Director at the National Science Foundation where she oversees grant funding to drive innovation in technology research. Her portfolio spans augmented/virtual reality, learning and cognition, and human-computer interaction. She previously held leadership roles at Northeastern University and as a C-suite executive in a startup she co-founded. Dedicated to promoting engaged, human-centered learning, she has authored two award-winning books, “Designed to Learn” and “Game On? Brain On!,” and numerous other publications and co-edited volumes. She is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network, ASCD 2015 Emerging Leader, and recipient of the 2018 NY Small Business Innovation research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) of the year.
