As the STEM Program Manager in a district of 32,000 students, Kristen integrates STEM and standards through Design Thinking, creating opportunities for authentic, human-centered problem solving for students, staff and the community. As a former kindergarten teacher, relationship building was at the center of each and every interaction in her classroom, building a community in which young learners could take risks in order to grow and thrive. Maintaining those relationships beyond the classroom was equally important; in fact, this past May, Kristen attended several graduation celebrations of her very first cohort of kindergartners! Kristen provides deeper learning experiences with both students and educators through relationship building.
