Alysha English

As a Community Designer at IDEO, Alysha works at the intersection of education, design, and community. She leads Community Strategy & Engagement for The Teachers Guild, which supports a network of 10,000 teachers in designing creative solutions for students. Alysha began her career as a high school teacher with New York City Department of Education. She has continued to work in education, focused on program management, community engagement & outreach, and strategic partnerships. She brings an expertise in community organizing within a wide range of environments including public schools, nonprofit organizations, and higher education institutions. Alysha holds an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BFA from Howard University. When she’s not working, you can find her hiking with her dog Arthur or experimenting in the kitchen.
