Ricardo Pineda
Economist from Universidad de los Andes and MBA from IE with 5 years of experience in strategic consultancy, education, sustainability and social innovation. I have led nine consultancy projects on education, and one reforming 19 technical institutes in Colombia. I was the creator of the concept ZOLIPS (Zonas Libres de Pobreza Extrema) (Extreme Poverty-Free Zones). I have supported the creation of two microfinance and recycling companies.
I am the co-founder and CEO of EduEMPLEA, and education startup that is revolutionizing the job training in Colombia. I believe in the power of education to transform lives and trigger people’s potential, especially in a place like Latin America, where people has a great potential but don’t have the education they need to enhance it.
I am passionate about education, social transformation, leadership and entrepreneurship
