Sean Mccarthy

Seán is an associate professor in the School of Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication at James Madison University, where he teaches courses in writing methods, digital cultures, and design. He is also a lead instructor at JMU X-Labs, where he designs, develops, and teaches transdisciplinary classes. Seán’s research and teaching interests are situated at the intersection of community engagement and digital literacy studies, and he is particularly passionate about building creative university-community partnerships.
